Shop / historical emporium holster
At Historical Emporium, we are proud of the holsters we offer! We work closely with our manufacturers to ensure that the color, leather grade, and manufacturing quality are up to our high standards. These photos were taken at Historical Emporium's warehouse, with items from our own stock. Historical Emporium does NOT re-sell to any other merchant, and we cannot assure the quality unless you select the official Historical Emporium listing at checkout.
Leather Imported Extremely well made left-hand western holster in tooled leather. Holster is made to slide onto a belt and is sized for a standard frame revolver, fitting most barrel lengths from 4 to 6 inches. Holster is made of saddle-grade leather, with durable stitching for long service (pictured gun not included). It includes a leather hammer loop and leg tie to keep your gun secure, whether you're galloping across the plains or taking part in an old-fashioned Western shootout.
Getting the Right Fit: How to Measure your Revolver's Barrel Length. Measure from the face of the cylinder all the way to the end of the barrel, as indicated here. Our holsters are offered in three lengths: Standard length holsters, which fit pistols with barrels from 4 - 6 inches in length, long holsters, which fit pistols from 6 - 8 inches in length, and extra-long holsters, which fit pistols from 8 - 10 inches in length.
Standard Barrel: Sized for a standard frame revolver, and fits most barrel lengths 4 to 6 inches. Long Barrel: Sized for a standard frame revolver, and fits most barrel lengths 6 to 8 inches. Extra-Long Barrel: Sized for a standard frame revolver, and fits most barrel lengths 8 to 10 inches.
How to Adjust your Holster: If you find that your pistol does not fit neatly into the holster, you can adjust the shape of the holster opening for a better fit. Built into the body of the holster, (between the leather layers,) there is an integrated steel frame which can be bent with pressure on the sides or ends. After bending, it should hold its new shape.
Holster is too round, pistol is loose: If the holster mouth is too CIRCULAR, and your pistol feels loose and will not slide down far enough, press down on the side of the Holster to make the opening more oval.
Holster is too flat, pistol is tight: If the holster mouth is too FLAT, and tight against the sides of the pistol frame, squeeze the ends to widen the opening.
